I was using Firefox, so the download was annoying.

Step 3: Find the folder named 'DCIM' that stores your pictures on iPhone. Step 2: Open File Explorer and go to 'This PC', click your device under 'Devices and drives'. Unlock your device and tap 'Trust' on the pop-up window.

You can select them all and download them to your PC. Here's how to view iPhone pictures on PC with File Explorer: Step 1: Connect your iPhone to PC with a USB cable. It took me a while to figure out how to download all the images from the iCloud to my PC (Apple should make this more intuitive and easier.) but if you go to, select Photos, you should see ALL of the photos from your last backup.

Just turning it off, however, doesn't make the photos all end up on your phone (maybe it would if you have room for them all, which I didn't). If it's enabled, you're storing originals in iCloud. It transfers music, messages, photos, files and everything else from any iPhone, iPod, iPad or iTunes backup to any. It is supported on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS a Windows version was offered from 2007 to 2010. Use your iPhone, iPod or iPad as an external drive. iExplorer is the ultimate iPhone manager. Box Drive is natively integrated into Mac Finder and Windows Explorer, making it easy to share and collaborate on files. You can check if you have this enabled by going to: Settings > Photos & Camera > Optimize iPhone Storage. Browse and transfer files and folders between your iPhone or iPad and your Mac or PC, via USB or WI-FI. Access all your Box files directly from your desktop, without taking up much hard drive space. As it turns out, apparently the Optimize Photos setting was turned on which means the full resolution images aren't stored on your phone, which I think is what accounts for the missing photos. ChrisJ4203 had asked about iCloud and I'd mistakenly said I wasn't using it for anything other than backups. I actually had multiple DCIM folders in windows explorer, it just didn't show all the photos.

To install WhatsApp Desktop on your computer, download it from the Microsoft Store, Apple App Store. So the cameras/scanners didn't work for me either. WhatsApp can be used on your desktop without a browser.
